Our Village, Our Community
Nestled along the scenic banks of the River Avon, Pill is a vibrant village rich in history, natural beauty, and a strong sense of community. From the charming harbourside to the bustling local shops, our village is a place where neighbours know each other, traditions thrive, and new friendships are always waiting to be made.
How did it come about
This website was created thanks to a great team effort between three local groups who care deeply about Pill: the Pill Community Foundation, the Pill Community Centre, and Power to Pill. Each brings something special to the table, and together they’ve built this site to help everyone in the village find out about what’s going on and how to get involved.
Pill Community Foundation
We are a volunteer-led charity that runs the Resource Centre in Pill. They provide advice, support, and training on lots of everyday things like IT skills, first aid, and food hygiene. They’re all about helping people and groups in Pill and the surrounding areas to thrive and connect.
Pill Community Centre
At the heart of village life. It’s a friendly, welcoming space where people come together for all kinds of activities-from clubs and classes to events and meetings. It’s a place where neighbours meet, friendships grow, and the community feels at home.
Power to Pill
We are a community development project that brings local people and organisations together to listen, learn, and take action on what the village really needs. It grew out of a big community consultation and works to support local groups, improve wellbeing, and make sure everyone’s voice is heard. Power to Pill is a partnership between the Pill Community Foundation and the Parish Council, backed by local funding and lots of community enthusiasm.
