Make Music with The New Yorchestra

Are you a musician who hasn’t played for a while and would like the opportunity to play again? Perhaps you are a current musician looking to join a group and play regularly? We’d be delighted to meet you. We promise you will receive a very warm welcome!

The New Yorchestra is a friendly local orchestra with a blend of very experienced and less experienced players, all ages from senior school upwards with a focus on friendship, learning and enjoyment through playing together and helping one another; creating our great sound. A vibrant combination of acoustic and electrical instruments, we play well-known tunes from an eclectic mix of musical genres and styles and often add our own creative twists.

We meet Thursday evenings for relaxed, fun rehearsals in preparation for our concerts and performing at events; 6.30pm to 7pm is a youth or training session, all players come together from 7pm – 8.30pm (with a break for cake and chat), then advanced players only continue playing until 9pm.
